All of our online video poker games are played with a standard 52-card deck.

The highest ranking card is the Ace, followed by the King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 in that order. The Ace can also be used as a 1 when it is needed to complete a 5-high straight consisting of A, 2, 3, 4, 5. Five cards of the same suit comprise a flush, but other than that, suits have no specific ranking.

Unlike Blackjack or Baccarat, cards in a hand are not given a point value and then totaled to determine the winner. Rather, each five-card hand is ranked according to a hierarchy, with the order descending from an extremely rare Royal Flush to a very ordinary pair of cards, or less.

Different poker variations will offer pay-outs on specific card combinations such as deuces (cards with a face value of 2), the number of Jacks, Aces, Face Cards (Kings, Queens), or the number of pairs in the final hand.
